It’s that time of the year again … The mad rush towards the 25th of December. And while our children and families are always high on our Christmas shopping list, we also have those who teach, care and support our children to gift for.
We asked our teachers that work here at R.I.C. Publications what their most cherished Christmas presents ever received from children have been, and they responded by saying personalised gifts made with love and heart, just like this pencil case that still accompanies one of our writers to work each day!
So, we thought we’d put together a list of personalised gifts that teachers will love, that will make them feel appreciated at this busy but exciting time of year.
Grow something
A succulent in a simple glass jar or pot, with a handwritten note reading, ‘Thank you for helping me grow’ is a simple, sweet gift. Even if your teacher is not into plants, they are sure to love the heartfelt, cute message.
Personalise a water bottle
Every human needs water to survive, and your teachers are talking all day—let’s keep them hydrated with a personal touch. There are so many places you can have a personalised water bottle made, from social media marketplaces to EtsyTM, or even a local business that can whip one up quickly and easily.
Get creative with baubles
Get creative with baubles – Get the kids involved and create a collection of handmade Christmas baubles, just like these from Mum’s Grapevine. You can grab clear baubles from Kmart here, insert a cute, handwritten message into a bauble, along with some glitter or pom-poms! It will be pulled out each year when the teacher dresses the tree, reminding them of your little cherub.
Get your bake on
Who doesn’t love a cookie jar! personalise it with a ribbon, a nice note and the recipe. Even if teachers don’t like cookies, over the Christmas period they will either have family visiting, or occasions to share them with friends!
Put a pep in their step
Not going to lie … This one is ALWAYS a winner! It might seem lazy, but we promise it will be so appreciated by your hard-working teacher. Suss out the closest coffee shop to the school and purchase a coffee voucher to pair with a handwritten card. Have you ever reached 3.00 pm and just thought to yourself, ‘I desperately need a coffee’? Those teachers looking after your gorgeous children every day feel exactly the same.
